On a stretch of Las Vegas Boulevard saturated with advertisements for self-indulgence and worldly goods, the face of the 14th Dalai Lama gazes out over the shoulders of Emmanuella Jeanlouins on Thursday night.
The poster featuring the exiled Tibetan leader says:
“He doesn’t just wish for Peace. He works for it. HOPE. Pass it on.”
The poster is from the Foundation for a Better Life — a nonprofit organization that spreads messages of positive community values.
Jeanlouins left strife-ridden Haiti 10 months ago. She is studying to be a medical assistant.
