Kasur Tashi Wangdi Joins New York’s Office of Tibet

Dharamshala, August 1 – Kasur Tashi Wangdi today joined the New York’s Office of Tibet as the new representative of His Holiness the Dalai Lama to the Americas. He succeeds Dr. Nawang Rabgyal, who will join the Department of Information and International Relations of the Central Tibetan Administration by the end of this month.

In place of Kasur Tashi Wangdi, the incumbent secretary of the Bureau of His Holiness the Dalai Lama in New Delhi, Lhakpa Tsoko, was appointed the acting representative of His Holiness the Dalai Lama in New Delhi with effect from 30 July.

Similarly, the representative of His Holiness the Dalai Lama at the Geneva-based Office of Tibet, Chhime R. Choekyappa, is transferred to the Private Office of His Holiness the Dalai Lama, Dharamshala, with effect from 15 September.
