“After consulting with my family, friends, and leaders in our community I am so excited to share that I’m running to be the Ontario NDP candidate for Parkdale-High Park. Together, let’s build a fairer Ontario,” Karpoche wrote on her Facebook page.
Bhutila Karpoche said that she will work to improve the lives of everyday families in Ontario by pushing for stronger public schools, better health care services, affordable housing and employment standards.
The mother of one lives in Toronto, where she has been actively involved in the Tibetan movement for over a decade. Earlier she served on the Board of Directors of the Canadian Tibetan Association of Ontario, the largest Tibetan association in Canada.
