DHARAMSHALA, NOV. 23: As the Tibetan leader wraps up his visit to Mongolia he said he has no worries about president-elect Trump. Crediting high praise for the United States, the Tibetan spiritual leader said, “I always consider America as leading nation of the free world”. So given the “complicated sort of situation” of the election the people have finally elected, which speaks for something, he added.

“Sometimes I feel during election the candidates have more freedom of expression but once they are elected having responsibility then they have to carry their vision, their work accordingly to reality, so I have no worries ” said the Tibetan leader.

Though there have been no meeting planned between the Tibetan Buddhist leader and president-elect Trump, the Dalai Lama said he looks forward to meet Trump. He said, “…next year there are some programs in United States so I am looking forward to see the new president.”

The Tibetan leader on Tuesday gave a public speech on ‘Universal value and Buddhism in 21st century’ at the Culture House in the Capital Ulaanbaatar. “Real happiness involves concern for others. Whereas the 20th century was fraught with bloodshed and conflict those of you who belong to the 21st century should cultivate a sense of the oneness of humanity and work to ensure this century becomes an era of compassion if you can do that, you’ll experience a happier world,” said the Dalai Lama in his speech.

In his message to the Mongolian youth, the Dalai Lama persuaded the young people to ensure world peace and develop inner peace thereby avoiding conflicts in the name of religion. He advised the youth to work on the preservation of their religious faith and build on their interest.
