Dalai Lama returns after Europe tour

DHARAMSHALA, Sept 23: The Tibetan leader His Holiness the Dalai Lama today arrived back at his residence at Theckchen Choeling near McLeod Ganj following a hectic schedule in Europe.

Yesterday, the Dalai Lama left Poland after celebrating the ‘World Peace Day’. Before that, he had a hectic schedule of teachings, public talks and appearances at various events in France and Belgium.

The visit to the European Parliament and his address at the committee on Foreign Affairs in Strasbourg, the seat of the European Union was the highlight of the tour. The 81 year old also inaugurated the 7th Tibet Support group meeting in Brussels, Belgium.

The Buddhist leader will give a four-day teaching on Aryadeva’s 400 Stanzas on the Middle Way (uma shigyapa) at the request of a group of Taiwanese at the Main Tibetan Temple from October 3-6, 2016.
