DHARAMSHALA, July 14: In a ceremony yesterday overseen and administered by the Chief Justice Commissioner of the Tibetan Supreme Justice Commission Kargyu Dhondup at Gangchen Kyishong,the seat of exile polity here in Dharamshala, Ngodup Tsering the former Kalon (Minister) for Department of Education was sworn in for a second term.
The swearing in ceremony was attended by Sikyong Lobsang Sangay along with Kalons and some Members of Tibetan Parliament in Exile. His nomination for the continuation of the DoE chief was approved by the TPiE with 29 votes on 1 June, 2016.
Ngodup Tsering had been a MP from 1979-1982, the Director of Tibetan Institute of Performing Arts, secretary for both the Department of Education and the Department of Home, apart from being the Kalon for DoE since September 2014 after being pulled into Lobsang Sangay’s cabinet.
