He also confirmed that as of now no programs are scheduled during his stay in Dharamshala and he will be taking rest as advised doctors who attended upon him at Mayo Clinic in the US.

Meanwhile, Kaydor Aukatsang, Representative of His Holiness the Dalai Lama to Americas told Associated Press that the Tibetan leader will meet with the Tibetan Community of Minnesota on Wednesday. “Aside from Wednesday’s (today) event the Dalai Lama is resting and has no public events scheduled.” Live video stream of the Tibetan leader’s audience for Tibetans in Minnesota will be available here. The Tibetan spiritual leader had to cancel his scheduled trip to the United States next month after Doctors advised him to rest for the next several weeks.

“His Holiness the Dalai Lama is in the United States for a medical check-up. The doctors have advised His Holiness to rest for the next several weeks. As a result, His Holiness’ planned October US visit has been cancelled,” a statement on the Tibetan leader’s website said on September 25.

Apologetic about the unforeseeable development, his private office regretted the inconvenience caused by this decision and apologized to all the people who have worked so hard in organizing the visit as well as to the public.

He had been scheduled to speak at events in Colorado, Massachusetts, Pennsylvania and Utah starting October 17 to 26 and was to receive an award from the National Constitution Center in Philadelphia on October 26.
