DHARAMSHALA, June 16: The Tibetan spiritual leader His Holiness the Dalai Lama today returned to his exile home in Dharamshala, northern India after successfully concluding his ten day visit to Australia.
The Tibetan leader met with some 700 Bhutanese on the last day of his engagements in Perth, Australia.
At the start of his Australian tour His Holiness the Dalai Lama accepted a longlife prayer offering from the Tibetan community in Australia on June 7 at the Blue Mountains, NSW, Australia.
His Holiness also met with a group of Chinese intellectuals with whom he shared his thoughts on compassion, love and dialogue. Stressing on the importance of dialogue among humans to resolves issues the Tibetan leader said a lot of problems the world faces today are creations of humans themselves.
The Tibetan leader gave Buddhist teachings on Commentary on the Five Stages of Guhyasamaja and confer the Yamantaka Initiation (jigje wang).
The teachings and empowerment was organized by the “Dalai Lama in Australia” group at the Fairmont Resort, Luera, Blue Mountains.
The Tibetan also delivered a public talk on “The Wisdom of Forgiveness” in the afternoon of June 8 at the Katoomba Public School where he was introduced by the mayor.
As part of his three commitments of life His Holiness also participated in a multi-faith event in the morning of June 11 at the Cathedral of St. Stephen’s in Brisbane, Queensland.
The Tibetan leader gave teachings on Nagarjuna’s Precious Garland (Rinchen trengwa) at the Brisbane Convention Center on June 11 and 12.
His Holiness delivered a public talk on “The Wisdom of Compassion” on June 12 in the afternoon at Riverstage.
The Tibetan leader who turns 80 next month gave a public talk “The Wisdom of Giving & Receiving” at the Perth Arena in Perth, Western Australia on Sunday.
