DHARAMSHALA, December 24: Chinese authorities have released two Tibetan political prisoners from prison.
Bumgha was arrested in Serta County for raising Tibetan national flag, calling for religious freedom in Tibet and freedom for Tibet on May 12, 2008. For four months, he was held in detention and later a Dhartsedo court sentenced him to six years in prison for spearheading the protest.
Another Tibetan political prisoner named Dhargay was released from prison in Minyag region of Tawu County on December 19. Dhargay was welcomed by local Tibetans upon his return home.
