CBSE Class XII results out, no Sikyong scholarship recipient this year

DHARAMSHALA, May 30: Over 300 Tibetan students have scored above 75% in this year’s Class XII CBSE board exams. However, the overall pass percentage of this year has fallen down by 0.6% compared to last year.

No Tibetan student this year has been able to score 95% or above for the Sikyong Scholarship, won last year by Tenzin Choekyi of Tibetan Homes Foundation, Mussoorie with 95.4 %, becoming the first Tibetan to bag the scholarship since its announcement in 2012.

Out of 1535 Tibetan students from 16 Tibetan schools 1331 students have passed, 40 students have failed and 162 students failing in one subject have been made to reappear in the failed subject. (Compartment).

Sonam Sangmo from Tibetan Children’s Village School, Selakui, has topped the Science stream with 93.2%. Tsering Dolma of Tibetan Children’s Village, Bylakuppe topped the Commerce stream with 93.2% and Kalsang Dolma of Tibetan Homes Foundation, Mussoorie topped in Arts stream with 93%.

Tibetan Children’s Village, Selakui, and Central School for Tibetans, Bylakuppe are the two schools that have achieved pass percentage of 100% this year.
