A Tibetan arrested in Sog County

DHARAMSALA, November 14 : A 27 year old Tibetan man has been arrested by the Chinese police in Sog county on Monday, Ngawang Tharpa, a Tibetan from Nagchu told phayul.

Local Tibetans believe that Thupten Gyaltsen was arrested for his alleged links with Tibetans abroad whom the Chinese revile as “separatists.”

Thupten is a businessman from his native 5th village of the Chungpa Gyalchen in Sog County. His family and relatives have tried to find out his whereabouts but to no avail. There is no information on where he is being held currently.
