DHARAMSHALA, May 24: The Hindi language version of the official website of His Holiness the Dalai Lama is all set to be launched on May 25, Saturday.

www.dalailamahindi.com will be an addition to the already widely followed English, Tibetan, Russian, and Mongolian versions of the website managed by the Dharamshala based Office of His Holiness the Dalai Lama.

Speaking to IANS, Tenzin Taklha, joint secretary at the Private Office said the new website will provide Hindi-speaking people access to the Dalai Lama’s thoughts and other related news.

“His Holiness (Dalai Lama) often describes himself as ‘son of India’ and it’s only natural that his website (dalailamahindi.com) is made available in Hindi too,” Taklha has been quoted as saying.

Both the English and Hindi websites would be updated simultaneously, Taklha added.

The Dalai Lama is one of the most widely followed public figures in the world. His Holiness’ official Facebook page has more than 5.1 million followers and his Tweets are being followed by more than 7.1 million people around the world.

One of the Dalai Lama’s recent tweets, which says that ‘Most of our problems are related to the mind, so we have to work to reduce our destructive emotions’ has been retweeted over 20,000 times.
