Moderate quake jolts Tibet

An earthquack measuring 5.6 on the Richter scale jolted area bordering the Ngamring and Saga counties in Shigatse (Ch: Xigaze) Prefecture early Sunday morning, China’s state run media Xinhua reported.

The quake occurred at 4:08 am (local time), according to the national seismological network.

The report said that the epicenter was detected at a depth of about 33 kilometers. No casualties have been reported so far.
