Poland, July 6: Today is the Dalai Lama’s birthday. He turns 72. On this occasion, the New House of the Deputies in the Polish Parliament hosted a small exhibition displaying the portraits of the spiritual and political Tibetan leader.
The author of these pictures is a journalist Ewa Kedzierska, who several times visited Tibet.
Together with the deputy Beata Bublewicz from the Parliamentary Group for Tibet, Ewa has recalled to the Polish MPs the necessity of supporting the Tibetan nation, remaining under the Chinese occupation. Faced with the growing political and economical power of communist China, the chances for Tibet regaining freedom without using violence is getting smaller and smaller, she said.
The Dalai Lama is living in exile in India since 1959.
