New Delhi: May 08: The Tibetan Parliamentary and Policy Research Centre (TPPRC), based in New Delhi, has announced an 11-day Annual Youth Leadership workshop for college going Tibetan students from June 5-15 in Dharamsala.
The objective of the workshop is to familiarise the students with the Policies and Democratic structure of the Tibetan Government-in-Exile (TGIE). Accroding to TPPRC, the participants will have the opportunity to visit each and every departmental office of the TGIE, including the non governmental organizations and related Tibetan institutions located in and around Dharamsala. Many leaders of the TGIE, including the Kalon Tripa (Tibetan Prime Minister in exile) will address the students during the workshop.
Although travel, food and lodging expenses will be borne by TPPRC, students from abroad will, however, have to bear their own travel expenses up to Delhi.
Students who have already attended TPPRC workshops at Dharamsala in the past will not be entertained.
TPPRC also notes that the participants can also avail the opportunity to attend the Special Teaching to Tibetan Youths by His Holiness the Dalai Lama from 1-3 June in Dharamsala. However, the centre will not be responsible for related expenses during the teaching period.
