Blood Appeal Campaign for Tibet Reaches Communist Heartland

Dr.Mahesh Yadav,Blood Campaigner for Tibet and the founder convenor for Mahatma Gandhi Free Tibet Movement brought his movement to Calcutta the capital of Chinese sympathesisers. He is on a nationwide campaign to spread the Tibet issue among the Indian people.With his unique and self sacrificing campaign by drawing portraits of Indian freedom fighters like Bhagat Singh,Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose and sending appeal letters to world leaders with his own blood for the past 11 years Dr.Mahesh Yadav had garnered widespread support among the Indian populace and now has a considerable following among the young Indians and Tibetans as well.

In Calcutta he drew a portrait of Kabiguru Rabindranath Tagore as mark of respect towards his contribution to the Indian Freedom Struggle. He wrote a petition with his blood to the Chief Minister of West Bengal Shri. Buddhadeb Bhattacharya urging him to take up the Tibet issue with his Chinese counterparts, the communist parties support the Tibetan Independence Movement for the sake of India’s security, for a peaceful solution to the Tibet issue and to invite H.H The Dalai Lama to address the joint session of parliament. He requested the Indian Leaders of all parties to take a oath in the name of Mahatma Gandhi and speak out the truth about Tibet and remembering Krantiveer Shubhash Chandra Bose and Shaheed Bhagant Singh and to take a strong policy on the issue of Tibet. He also wrote a petition to the Prime Minister of India Dr. Manmohan Sigh urging him to take up a strong foreign policy and reminding him of Chinese hostile policies towards India.

I offer my blood to Free Tibet, I expect your kind support to make it a reality, he told the assembled media persons from A.N.I, Sahara Tv National, Etv Bangla,P.T.I and others present there.

Dr.Mahesh Yadav is an inspiration for everybody and we have working together for Tibetan Independence for the past many years and we had even lodged a protest against his house arrest during the visit of Chinese President Hu Jintao to India in November,2006, Shibayan Raha, coordinator for Friends of Tibet, Calcutta chapter said.

The event was organised with kind assistance from Mr.Probhash Kejriwal, of Chitrakoot art gallery who hosted the event and Phuntsok of Kunga hotel.
