Mumbai, Feb.1 : Tibetan spiritual leader Dalai Lama amused hundreds of his followers, including several Bollywood celebrities, during a sermon held here on ‘Peace through Inner Peace’.
Fashion designer Bina Ramani, who is a key witness in the Jessica Lal murder case, welcomed the spiritual session with the Dalai Lama. She also described her fortitude during the trial as journey towards the inside.
“I need silence within my heart, which is hard to come in today’s age. But more than half of the joy comes during the search that leads to it. It’s a wonderful journey…trying to attain it is already half way through. Some times, it’s good to go through a crisis. It gives you a chance to look within. That’s exactly what his holiness was talking about,” said Ramani.
For budding artists like Tara Sharma and Ashmit Patel, the Dalai Lama’s sermon helped them to interact with their inner souls.
“Ofcourse, everybody has trouble, everybody has stress. I think, it’s about dealing with that and being able to be calm, in a difficult situation. That’s what the actual peace is. So, it’s making a conscious effort often in difficult situation to remain calm,” revealed Bollywood actress Tara Sharma.
“The fact that on this path, I am here is the sign of seeing among the routes and finding the inner peace and distinguishing between self and the being, which most of us are not able to do,” said Ashmit Patel, a Bollywood actor.
