NORTHAMPTON, Massachusetts – The Dalai Lama is coming to western Massachusetts.
The Buddhist spiritual leader is scheduled to visit Smith College in May to talk to students, faculty and staff as well as members of the Tibetan Association of Western Massachusetts.
The talk will be followed by a private gathering for invited members of the Tibetan community.
The address will also be broadcast live on local cable television stations.
Thondup Tsering president of the Tibetan Association of Western Massachusetts says he is excited by the impending visit.
The Dalai Lama has been living in exile in India since China’s occupation of Tibet.
