Rousing welcome for Lhakpa Tsering,the only youth who tried to self-immolate himself during the visit of Chinese president visit to Mumbai.
All members of Regional Tibetan Youh Congress (RTYC) Bangalore, joined by Presidents of RTYC Bylakuppe and Hunsur and also the Administrator and students of the TCV Tibetan Youth Hostel, Bangalore accorded very warm welcome to Lhakpa Tsering on his arrival in Bangalore City.
A whole of convoy of 15 motorbikes lead Lhakpa la from airport to the Tibetan Youth Hostel this evening. The RTYC members arranged a meeting where Mr. Tsering Dhondup, PRO of the TYC Centrex and Mr. Lhakpa Tsering spoke and share their experiences with the members in the auditorium of hostel. In honor of his great sacrifice for the nation, refreshment was served to the students.
Lhakpa la has decided to shift his treatment venue from Shushrusha Citizen’s Co-operative Hospital in Mumbai to Bangalore City. He will seek admission at the St.John’s Hospital tomorrow for further treatment. Dr. Mokal of the Mumbai hospital said” the wounds on his leg is deeply burned and need intensive care. It is also learnt that he might also need to undergo skin grafting.
