To draw people’s attention to the deplorable state of affairs in Tibet, handing out leaflets is one among several effective means. But what about doing that in Tibet? The consequences of such political activity in Tibet would be arrest without lawsuit and refusal of legal assistance, torture and abuse.
To show this fact dramatically, activists of TYAE, dressed up like tortured Tibetans, were handing out leaflets the whole day. The headline says: “If you hand out leaflets in Tibet, you won’t look like before.”
Next to that activity, spectators of the famous Zurich New Year’s Eve City Run were given balloons carrying information about the International Olympic campaign (www.2008-FreeTibet.org).
