To all Readers and Observers.
Relying on the Chinese broadcasting about our visit to Tibet for vacation to meet relatives, numerous compilation of untrue and false rumours have been and are being spread with an evil-design, out of jealousy. So, I Jewon Koondhor Tulku and Khanang Kentrul announce this response-decelerate for the purpose of analysis by all the sounded-minded and upright people.
We have given whatever clarifications needed and also submitted written response through our representatives to the Tibetan Community of Switzerland and Liechtenstein, which was discussed, examined and finally decided to clear the case. The official announcement during the Tibetan Democracy Day had already been broadcasted through different media channels. The responses given to the questions had also been broadcasted by Radio Free Asia. This writing is for the Tibetan newspapers for publication. I am speaking honestly and emphatically that whenever I visit Tibet via China, I have never made any press statements through TV channels, Radio, websites and Newspapers. We have also no idea of having said, that we were the “Delegation of Tibetans in Europe” and besides, it wouldn’t be possible to fool China by saying such things. We have gone for vacation to meet relatives with our own expenses. It was said that we were visitors to Beijing, but we didn’t go for visit. There were many points, especially on the tree points on unity of the Motherland, unity of nationalities and opposing separatism to which the previous response of ‘not having any experience of making such declarations’ would be sufficient. The Publicists, especially the TYC have all based their statements on Chinese reports, considering it to be true. So, do you accept Chinese declarations to be true and reliable? If so, then not only you, but the Tibetan govt. and others have all accepted falsehood, or are you harassing us by acknowledging that all the Chinese declarations are false, except on this case about us? Since many years before till now, whenever, there were opportunities to speak during visits to Tibet, we make clarifications on the doubts about the Middle Way approach which is the wishes of His Holiness the Dalai Lama and the policy of the Tibetan govt. and appeal to Chinese govt. to consider for negotiations and harmony. The Chinese may interpret Middle Way approach as unity of the Motherland, unity of the nationalities and opposing separatism. Although it may be said that Middle Way and unity of Motherland are not the same, yet basically and on the whole, these are related. Although there were many things stated by TYC like ‘opposes the foremost wish of the Tibetan people and Independence struggle’, but since these were not written by China, let alone opposing it, I don’t even know for what it is meant for. The TYC’s foremost wish may be struggling for Independence, but this time, in most of the declarations, there was nothing about it and so, has Independence changed into freedom? The TYC and papers like Sheja and Tibet Times’ websites, Radio etc. have all stated that their statements were all based on declarations by China, on hearsay and expressions, which are all baseless. I should be clarifying if it’s stated by me; otherwise, there is no need to answer each and everything. If it’s declared by China, then ask China for clarifications and proves. The Tibet Times has stated that we were given “Cholo” for patriotism. Cholo means Positions. So, what kind of Position was given? It also labelled us as Corrupted. So, what kind of bribe was taken by us, needs to be fully proved and can’t be left like this. The corruption which greatly harms Tibet and Tibetans are committed by those persons, who have used their Position, power and opportunity to make oneself and their family and near once either rich or nearly rich by privately using the wealth of the Tibetan Government and the people’s Aid.
By announcing about our visit this time by China, it clearly showed that no corruption was taking place and there were no corruption activities, which needed to be hidden away. Again, on the report of visiting Tibet and China for 10 days, I had gone for a month’s vacation and Khanang Tulku is still in Tibet. Again, in Tibet Times, it wrote, ‘With regard to receptions accorded to the European- based Tibetan by the United Front Work Department, it was equal to the receptions, accorded to the envoys of His Holiness the Dalai Lama if not more meticulous and better. Besides, the venue hall was also the same and it seems the rank of the leader met was also higher”. Look at these writings. There should be either a person who has seen and accompanied the Envoys or we two, but there wasn’t any. It could be true, provided, the United Front Work Department has given internal information’s to you for publication. Otherwise, it’s clear that it’s all a compilation of lies and falsehood. As the saying goes, “Its better to be defamed by one who is skilful in the art of defamation rather than to be applauded by one who is unskilful in the art of applause” Although you people tried to express properly, but couldn’t do so. Saying that they (official delegation) had gone to meet leaders, but couldn’t meet high-ranking leaders and on the other hand, we met the high-ranking leader just on the way to meeting our relatives in our country. You have degraded the envoys. Is it not so?
The Chinese leader Liu Yontung said, “The big door of the Motherland is always opened to the patriotic Tibetan brothers and sisters”. It indirectly means that the big door is not opened to unpatriotic people. China has recognised every Tibetans visiting Tibet as entering the big door opened to patriots. Again in Sheja, it’s written, “As instructed, those visiting Tibet should contact the concerned office of Tibetan Govt. but they have not”. While applying for Chinese passport, a form of Tibetan Govt. has to be filled up, but we have never heard of filling any form while visiting Tibet with Swiss passport. Anyway, at present, there are many visitors to Tibet from all over the world, but the Tibetan govt. and the people know how many of them have contacted Tibet offices. Since long time back till now, whenever lamas, leaders, famous personalities, organisations etc. pay visit to Tibet and China, the United Front Work Department accord receptions to them which is known by both the people in and outside Tibet. Again, in Sheja, it’s written, “They are pretending and even now, no clarifications have been made and so, and it’s clear about the nature of their visit “. Khanang Tulku is still in Tibet and so, can’t respond. As for me, until I reached Swiss I didn’t hear any of these information’s from Tibet and India. Even after I knew, many things had to be first compiled and then see, which one needed to be answered or clarified, and besides, waited for the announcement of the judgement to be taken by the people’s organisations of the region. I am not the kind of person who writes rumours as if there is no work and try to pass time on Internet and papers. Besides, I don’t love talking and believes that it’s important not to talk if its not needed. The delay up to now was not due to pretence and that I didn’t have answers. After the analysis, here is a brief history for all those who dislike and harbour suspicions regarding my meeting with high-ranking Chinese leaders:
Due to karmic force, I have the position of a high-ranking Lama, having history of many famous Reincarnations. In 1984, when visiting Tibet for the first time, lakhs of people expressed their devotion. Especially, I as the vice-turin of TAR Preparatory Committee in 1957, had attended many meetings together with Chinese leader Wang Chi Mi, and as such, there were many known senior officials like TAR Rhuchi Jipa Tang etc. whom I was meeting again after 25 long years and were very happy. Moreover, they said that if I were to return, my position would be restored and arrange a good livelihood and treated like other high Lamas. The Tulkus, high Lamas and leaders of Tibet were met and became known to each other during functions. Many of the high-ranking people like family members of Ngapo, Phagpalha Rinpoche, Phuntsok Wangyal, Tushi Gyaltsen Norbu etc. became known after seeing them again and again. Since my daily interactions in Tibet were high lamas and leaders and as a result of befriending high class people to high class people, I became known and developed relations with many leaders alongside.
Tushi Hu Jintao was at that time, the Ruchi of Tibet. Right from the beginning, many of the leaders like Lui Yondung, Ragdi, Tushi Jampa Phuntsok, Tushi Chakra Rinpoche and others were easy to meet during those times. Continuing with such causes and systems, I became known and developed relations with a section of Chinese and TAR leaders after 20 years of repeated visits to Tibet, which still exist. I have not gone to meet Tushi Hu Jintaio and Lui Yondung in Spain, though they were known to me after seeing them few times in the past. These are my brief clarifications.
In the TYC declaration, it stated, “If the general declaration is accepted then it’s untrue. If it’s untrue, then it’s the acceptance of the untrue.
Now, TYC should make a declaration, accepting the untruthfulness of the rumours it has spread.
How many beneficial works we practically undertook for Tibet and Tibetans in and outside Tibet could be known from Tibet, beside you could visit Tibet and see the number of supporters in Tibet. Moreover, many Tibetans in Switzerland, especially those Tibetans in hardships, irrespective of provinces and locality, all knows the facts clearly. During the last 40 years, the separatist elements within the Tibetan community have used all kinds of weapons with evil-designs on religion, provinces, politics, economy, Power, personally enmity to split the community, and launch denunciations within the Tibetan community. When oppositions were raised against such denunciations of many Tibetan people, especially the meritorious persons, it never occurred to me that one day, I would have to wear that black-hat myself. Most of the people know about my sincerity and honesty of opposition. I still oppose the separatist elements, splitting the community.
Except for few evil people known to us, the Tibetan people in Swiss, Europe-based Tibetan People’s deputies, Tibetan Representative, social organisations, youth organisation, women’s organisation etc. have launched enquiries and investigations without jumping into outright conclusion and cleared us off the case. The result was declared for which we very much appreciate.
The Central TYC has jumped to conclusion without any investigations and made declarations first. And then the case was investigated which is not proper at all. The Sheja and Tibet Times have not even bothered to investigate the case, which is in keeping with a saying that goes like “The speech of bad people hurts more than poison. It hurts friends and not enemies”.
The case will be fought till the end until and unless you prove the allegation and clear the case. If compelled, we will either go to court or jointly approach the United Front Work Department for investigation, as you stated that the Department was the source of your case.
