Dharamsala: 5 October: The exiled Tibetan leader, His Holiness the Dalai Lama administered the oath of office to new ‘Kalons’ (ministers) of the Central Tibetan Administration (CTA), around 7 in the morning at His residence here today.
The new ministers, who took oath today, were approved by the exiled Tibetan parliamentary assembly during the opening of the ongoing-session.
Later in the morning, after making a brief visit to the Kashag (executive body) office, His Holiness graced and also addressed the exiled Tibetan parliament, called Assembly of Tibetan People’s Deputies (ATPD).
His Holiness’ official morning programme ended with photo-session with the Kalons and the members of the Tibetan parliament.
The 14h ATPD has been in session for the second time from September 30 and will go on till October 7.
The official ceremony of swearing in the new Kalons will be held tomorrow at Kashag Hall. As of now, five-member Kalons, headed by Kalon Tripa Prof. Samdhong Rinpoche, will run the 13th Kashag of the CTA.
