The Chicago Nomads traveled to New York to participate in the 2006 Pema New York Tibetan Soccer Tournament. They were especially excited because they had just won the 2006 Midwest soccer tournament in Chicago. Some of the best Tibetan soccer teams across America competed for this tournament. No doubt, the Nomads were a strong contender.
So,they participated in the tournament and in the end they won the 2006 Pema New York Tibetan Soccer Tournament. They brought home the trophy and they got the title of the Best Tibetan Soccer Team in the U.S.

New York (Nepali Youth Club Team) one of the best team in US
First, the Chicago Nomads beat New York (Nepali Youth Club). Then they creamed San Francisco (lungta Tibet team) in the Semi-Finals and finally, they defeated London, England (UK-Tibet team) in the Finals. Nomads player No.7, Nawang Thinley deserved to be awarded MVP. His love and passion for soccer will never end. We are all so very proud of our nomads. They are real
deal- undefeated champions of the United States of America because they have won the Westcoast, Midwest, and now the Eastcoast soccer championships.
