Among 1036 Higher Secondary Schools in Nepal, this year Namgyal High School, Gorkhana, bagged the top position of Nepal National Examination in their class 11 and 12 results.
According to Voice of Tibet (VOT), Namgyal High School was founded in the year 1988 and since then the school has maintained consistent performances in every field. Thus this year the school has come out with an outstanding results which was acknowledged by the Nepal government.
Mr. Wangdue Phuntsok, principal of Namgyal High School told VOT, “ the good result was the outcome of hardwork put together by both the students and the teachers. He further added that the ranking of schools according to their academic performance has started three years ago. In 2004, Namgyal High School was ranked fifth and last year they made it to the fourth. However they are looking forward to stay firm in the top position and do much better in future.”
Due to the good results, this year the number of students taking admission in their school has increased enormously which has further resulted in enlarging the classrooms for better adjustments. They also had to start their new session of the academic year little late considering the management of the classrooms, Mr. Wangdue Phuntsok told VOT.
