MGAC launches Save Tibet – Secure India campaign

To mark the 47 years of Chinese occupation of Tibet, Dr Mahesh Yadav, President of Mahatma Gandhi Global Amity Council (MGAC), Bhopal started off “Save Tibet – Secure India” awareness campaign in 47 cities in different parts of India through writing appeals and portraits with his own blood.

“Through this program, we contacted various national and regional leaders and gave them appeal letter written in blood asking for their support and initiatives in the peaceful resolution of the question of Tibet and also urged to members of parliament to invite H.H the Dalai Lama to Lok Sabha” said Dr. Yadav. He further said that they have been appealing to the general public that it is must to support the genuine cause of Tibet in order to have secure India.

So far the campaign launched on December 10, 2005 were organized in eighteen different cities and towns such as Bhopal, Sagar, Vidisha and Khandwa in Madhya Pradesh, Burhanpur, Jalgoan, Nasik, Shirdi, Aurangabadh, Ahmednagar, Pune, Kohlapur and Sholapur in Maharashtra, Belgam, Mysore, Bylakuppe and Bangalore in Karanataka and Ooty in Tamil Nadu. Remaining places in Andhra Pradesh, Maharashtra, Gujrat and Rajasthan will be covered by March 10, 2006.

The program was well received and supported by Indian public and media people in all those above mentioned places.
