Dharamshala December 3 – For the local Indian community of Dharamshala which saw Tibetans with placards, national flags, banners winding through the town in March every year, and replacing anti China slogans with Buddhist prayers few years back, it may be hard to understand what a Tibetan protest rally at the end of the year is about.

For the exile government which gives a high priority to its efforts for negotiation with China, it may be a little disturbing. But the Tibetan Youth Congress is all set to hold a mass demonstration here in protest of the recent crackdown on Tibetan monks of Drepung monastery in Tibet following a patriotic reeducation session at the monastery.

Tibetan organizations like TYC, Gu Chu Sum, a former political prisoners’ association and Tibetan Centre for Human Rights and Democracy have condemned the recent incidents in Tibet.
