TIBETAN nun Ngawang Sangdrol, who spent 11 years in prison for chanting freedom slogans spoke at an event in Edinburgh last night.
She appeared at the Quaker Meeting House on Victoria Terrace as part of a nationwide tour leading up to International Day of Support of Victims of Torture.
Sangdrol was only 15 when she was imprisoned for 21 years by the Chinese authorities.
She was eventually released in 2002, ten years before her sentence was due to end.
