Tickets of the direct bus linking Lhasa and Katmandu are available to Tibetan and Nepali passengers at the upcoming May Day. The ticket office starts operation on April 25 and the first direct bus is to head off from Lhasa to Katmandu at nine am. on April 29. Outbound Chinese passengers could buy tickets straight after going through passport and visa procedures while overseas passengers could buy tickets via tourist agencies.
The Lhasa-Katmandu bus immediately connecting China and Nepal is the first international direct passenger link by means of automobile.
According to agreements, the direct bus launches eight-time round trip per month. The ticket is priced at 70 US dollars. It permits five-kilogram personal effects and 15-kilogram consignment free of charge Overweight is charged at one US dollar per kilogram.
