Brussels, March 13 2005 – “Les Amis du Tibet” (friends of Tibet) and Tibetan Community in Belgium have organized a big demonstration to commemorate March 10 and to show their dissatisfaction with the annulment of the visit of His Holiness (planned in Belgium in June 2005). After the lecture of His Holiness’s statement, all the 350 people walked in procession to join the chinese embassy. There, slogans like “We want justice” or “Tibet back to Tibetans” were shouted during almost 50 minutes. The demonstration ended with the long life prayer for His Holiness and the Tibetan National Anthem. The most famous Belgian television showed a 2 minutes reportage on the 7.30 evening news, including an interview of two ex-political prisonners.
