Dharamsala, February 28 – Earlier His Holiness the Dalai Lama decided to accept the invitation extended to him by the Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association to inaugurate the three-day international cricket match between India and Pakistan to be held in Dharamsala on 3 March 2005. In view of the reservations expressed from some quarters regarding his presence at the match, His Holiness the Dalai Lama has now decided not to inaugurate the cricket match. The general thinking of His Holiness the Dalai Lama is not to cause any inconvenience to any party.
