For the first time Tibet support group will hold a seminar on “Himalayan Security and Environment” in Bomdila, Arunachal Pardesh under the convener of Shri. R.K. Khrmey (Convener, Northeast Region-II) on 18th Feb 2005.
Issue that would be discussed at the seminar include the security in the Himalayan region and the strategic implication and the ecological importance of Tibet in governing the Himalayan security and environment.
The meeting will be attended by Dr. N.K. Trikha, National CGTC (Convener Core Group for Tibetan Cause), Dr. K.C. Agnihotri, National Co-convener CGTC, Dr. Sudesh Garg, Convener Northern Region CGTC, Advocate J.P. Sharma, Convener Delhi Region, Shri. Surender Kumar, Convener Eastern Region, Shri. Sonam Lhundp, Convener Northeast Region-I, Shri. Arvind Nikose, Convener Western Central and Mr. Choekyong Wangchuk, Coordinator ITCO (India Tibet Coordination Office).
All members of the Core Group will have an informal gathering after the seminar where they will discuss past events and also chalk out the action plan of the Core Group.
