As an immediate outcome of the Central West Tibet Support Groups conference held in Aurangabad, a half day interaction meeting of Core Group’s Central West region Convener A. Nikose and Mr. Choekyong Wangchuk Coordinator India Tibet Coordination office, with different NGO’s and CBO’s working in Ahmednagar district was organized Jan 11, 2005 at Plaza Hotel in Ahmednagar, where more than 20 members of different Indian groups took active participation.
In the meeting it was decided that a Tibet support Groups will be formed in Ahmednagar. Representative of different organizations in the area will be there in the committee. It was also decided that one each person would be appointed as a contact person from every district of Marathwada region, which will be later on extended into Tibet Support Group. Meeting suggested that an intensive workshop for those contact person from every district of Marathwada region on when, where, and how to organized Tibet Support movement should be held in near future.
The meeting was followed by a press conference, attended by representatives from 12 print media and 2 electronic media of the region. Regional Convenor A. Nikose and ITCO coordinator both addressed the press conference and appeal the press people for their support at this critical junction of Tibet.
