Tibetan Community in France has observed 15th anniversary of conferrement of the Nobel Peeace Price to His Holiness the Dalai Lama, who is both spiritual and temporal head of the Tibet.
The function has took place in the Rigpa Buddhist center in Paris, with its day long programme. As last year, Tibetan Community of France had great opportunity to perform a collective prayers with Gyuto Sanghas from India, for the realization of the Tibet’s freedom and long live for His Holiness the Dalai Lama.
A basic Dharma teaching was given by the venerable Tenzin Penpa la, to the Tibetan community’s members, Who is director of the Gyuto monks while they are in France for one more year.
The day is also a good occasion for the Tibetans to pay their tributs to His Holiness for his quality of the leadership, while the Tibet goes through a dark period in its history ( under foreign occupation).
The President of the Tibetan Community of France has delivred a introductory speech in which he underlined “the importance of every tibetan individual’s participation more efficiently in the Tibet’s freedom struggle and the necessity of supporting honestly to the Central Tibetan Administration in India. Even one is phyically in the over sea country but mind should be with our government’s action”.
The representative of the His Holiness the Dalai Lama and Tibetan government in exile, Mr Tashi Phuntso la, has also spoken at the function and he explained “how in exile Tibetan society had started the green book in 1974.
In spite of hard live condition in different refuggee camps in exile, every tibetan used to bring year by year his or her contribution to the Tibetan government in name of green book. Because we know very well how is financial situation our government”.
He continues” the perservation of the unique buddhist culture is something very essential because it is our national identity. More implication of every Tibetan in the community’s activities”.
He said “that our generation is changing, so we have a huge resposability to keep our alive culture, and our common cause for the freedom.
Last part of the event: Community members dedicated their songs to His Holiness Dalai Lama.
