All India convention of India-Tibet Friendship Society meets in December

New Delhi, November 11 – Next All India convention of India-Tibet Friendship Society is going to be inaugurated by the Prime Minister of Tibetan Government-in-exile Prof. S. Rinpoche under the Chairmanship of Former Speaker of Indian Parliament Shri Rabi Ray. The convention is being held at the historic city of Jodhpur from 25-27th December 2004.

The reception committee for it is being headed by eminent Freedom Fighter Shri Amar Krishna Vyas. The Last convention of Tibet friends in India on behalf of India-Tibet Friendship Society was held at Luck now in 2001 and attended by delegates from all over India including Ladakh, Himachal Pradesh, Maharastra, Orissa, West Bengal, Sikkim, Bihar, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Gujrat and Arunachal Pradesh.

The gathering of Tibet friends proposed at Jodhpur is part of celebration of 2004 as year of Tibet. It is also expected to adopt a course of action for intensifying Tibet support activities in India under the banner of Freedom of Tibet and Security of India.

Conference will also discuss about the lobbying with different pressure groups like Parliamentarians, Government officials, Social activists, Students and youth.
