With the recent arrest of three Tibetans in Nagchu (400 kms north of Lhasa), shooting of Khenpo She Tse in Golok in Kham region in and the continued detention of Trulku Tenzin Delek with a death sentence hanging on this head, political situation in Tibet is getting ever so bad.
Regional Tibetan Youth Congress, Dharamsala is gravely concerned about the human Rights situaion in Tibet toady. We are receiving subsequent news from Tibet telling atrocious violence and repression on the Tibetans in Tibet.
On the night of 7 April 2002 the police of Sichuan Province arrested Tulku Tenzin Delek along with four students, were accused with alleged involvement in a bomb blast incident which had taken place in Chengdu, Tibet. On 2nd December 2002, China sentenced to death Tulku with a two-year reprieve. This December the death sentence would be executed.
Every month on the 10th, the Regional Tibetan Youth Congress (RTYC), Dharamshala organises a public campaign for the immediate and unconditional release of Tulku Tenzin Delek. On this 10th October, from 8 am, RTYC Dharamshala organises a One-day Hunger Strike at Mcleod Ganj Bus station and a candle light vigil in the evening. Members of RTYC Dharamsala and the general public will take part in the one-day campaign; Indian supporters and foreigner Tibet supporters will also join the campaign.
