CAMPAIGNERS opposed to the inclusion of a Chinese Army band in this year’s Tattoo are to stage their own alternative event.
The one-day Free Tibet music festival, in protest at the appearance of the People’s Liberation Army band, will feature ten bands, ten DJs and ten hours of music on August 1.
The activists support the campaign to free Tibet from Chinese rule and claim the army is a “symbol of brutality”.
Release – The Free Tibet Music Festival boasts a line-up which includes Gordon McIntyre, Aberfeldy, King Creosote and The Thanes. Tickets cost £10 (£7 concessions). The show, at Studio 24, Calton Road, runs from 3pm-1am.
