China’s southwest Tibet Autonomous Region is undergoing one of the best periods of development in its history. This is according to Chairman of the region’s government Jampa Phuntsok, who talked with Canadian experts in Vancouver on Friday.
The seven-member Tibetan government delegation is in Canada on a friendly visit. It held talks with experts of Tibetan culture from the University of British Columbia in Vancouver on Friday. The Tibetan delegation said five decades of development had boosted the region’s economy.
The government officials also said they looked forward to promoting bilateral relations and learning from their Canadian friends’ experiences in national development.
