Gangtok, June 18 – Gangtok, the capital of Sikkim, has now access to Tibetan system of medicine, which diagnoses diseases by listening to the ebb an flow of blood.
With its headquarters at Dharamsala in Himachal Pradesh the Tibetan Medical System and astrological Institute was founded by Buddhist spiritual leader the Dalai Lama, and has over 40 branches all over India and Nepal.
Natural herbs combined and prepared according to the patients’ taste and potency is used in the Tibetan medicinal system.
Dr. Tsering Tharchin who heads the branch, said Tibetan medicine was becoming popular as it had no side effect.
