VISITING Buddhist monks are ditching their traditional robes and sandals for football strips and boots for a charity match in Glasgow.
The six Tibetan monks, who have never played football before, will take part in a charity tournament this weekend.
But because of their devotion to peace, love and harmony, there will be no losers, as organisers have already decided the result will be a draw.
Instead, the only winners will be Spirit Aid, the humanitarian relief charity run by the actor David Hayman.
The monks will line up against a host of former Old Firm stars for tomorrow’s match in Partick, Glasgow.
The Dalai Lama, who is set to tour Scotland, gave special permission for the men from the Tashi Lhunpo Monastery in India to take part in the game.
