Regional Tibetan Youth Congress, Tibetan association and Tibetan Women association of Minnesota is organizing a bus ride to New York to convey our humble respect and honor to Dolma Choezom la, Sonam Wangdu la and Gyatso la (the three hunger strikers) for their selfless, courageous and persistent determination in continuining the hunger strike for Tibet’s cause despite endangering their own life. Even our actions and words are limited to express our heartfelt thoughts to them.
More than 30 people will begin the 20hrs drive from St. Paul, MN on May 1st Saturday midnight. People from all ages have volunterred along with three RTYC executive members. We will have a token hunger strike alongside the three hunger strikers on May 3rd, Monday. A special thank you memo signed by people in Minnesota will be delivered to the three hunger strikers upon arrival in NY.
We pray for the continuous strength and well-being of the three hunger strikers and thank them again for the heroic act. Today is their 28th day.
We also urge the United Nations to wake up and take immediate actions.
