Rome, Italy, November 10 – The Italy-Tibet parliamentary group has organised a visit with the Dalai Lama from November 26-28 in conjunction with the Italy-Tibet association, pro-Tibet city, provincial and regional associations, Amnesty Internazional, Association of Tibetan Women (TWA), Solidarity campaigns with the Tibetan people, Tibetan communities in Italy, CGIL-CISL-UIL labour unions, House of Tibet, and Dharma Tibet.
During his visit to Rome he will meet with John Paul II and the highest state and political officials, Italian mps (over 160 from all the parties that have created the Italy-Tibet inter- parliamentary group, and various political and trade-union leaders.
Wednesday 26 November the Dalai Lama will hold a public meeting with citizens in the Sala Grande of the Music Auditorium in Viale de Coubertin called “The path to freedom”.
On the 28 he will take part in the meeting for the Nobel Peace Prize organised by the Gorbachev Foundation and by the city of Rome.
