The man who has been speculated to have shown a keen interest in Budddhism and Tibet in the recent times is here in Dharamsala.

According to reliable sources, Jet Li accompanied by a Tibetan monk is in town to meet the Seventeenth Karmapa Ugyen Thinley Dorjee. He sought blessings of the young Karmapa, head of the Kagyu sect of the Tibetan Buddhism, this afternoon.

Jet Li is said to have left for Rewalsar this afternoon to visit the holy Buddhist site ( Tso Pema) believed to be the birthplace of Guru Padmasambhava.

However, Mr Li seems to be trying to keep his visit to the headquarters of the exile Tibetan administration away from media’s attention. But whether Mr. Li has any intention to show support to the Tibet cause is not clear since his visit seems purely religious.
