Siliguri – Tibetan spiritual leader Dalai Lama will visit Darjeeling on a four-day trip in December, spokesperson of Dharma Chakra Committee (DCC) Pasang Tshering said.

The 23-member DCC was formed in Darjeeling recently to coordinate and organise the visit of the religious leader, he said.

During the visit, the Dalai Lama would hold teaching sessions aimed at propagating the message of non-violence and world peace, Tshering said.

Dalai Lama’s scheduled trip to Darjeeling was cancelled in 2001 on security grounds, he added.
