Criticized over the deportation of 18 Tibetans back to China, Nepal police has again detained 19 more Tibetans – 15 men and 4 women – on Tuesday in western district of Achham, The Kathmandu Post reported Friday.

The 19 are believed to have entered Nepal through Nepal-Tibet border of Hilsa in Humla district. They intended to go to Dharmashala of India to meet Dalai Lama, police said.

“The arrested ones are sent to Dipayal, regional headquarters of the far-west region,” the local police of Sanfebagar village, where the arrests were made, said. “They will be finally handed over to the Immigration Department in Kathmandu for further action.”
