New Delhi – India has termed as “unfortunate” a security breach during Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao’s visit to the Indian Institute of Science in Bangalore Sunday.

“Premier Wen Jiabao is an honoured guest of the country and all efforts are being made to ensure a complete success of this visit,” external affairs ministry spokesman Navtej Sarna said in response to a question.

A Tibetan had hoodwinked security personnel before climbing up the institute’s administrative building to throw pamphlets protesting against the Chinese occupation of Tibet.

“This is an unfortunate incident. The miscreant was promptly apprehended and the state government is conducting an investigation,” Sarna said.

Police in Bangalore arrested Tenzing Tsundue, general secretary of the Friends of Tibet (India), for breach of security.
