2 Tibetan Philo’s Students Killed as Bus Run Over

Hunsur, February 26 – In a tragic incident, two students of St. Philomena’s College in Mysore were killed on the spot when a speeding KSRTC bus collided with their motor bike near Somanahalli here last evening.

The girl, Ten Zen Fama, a second year B.Com student, was coming to her native place Gurupura Tibetan Camp in the Taluk here along with her friend Sangyul, son of Chukia of the same camp on their motorbike (KA-09 EN 9852) when the mishap occurred.

A KSRTC bus (KA-05 B 7144), which was proceeding to Bangalore from Kushalanagar, hit the bike head-on killing both the students on the spot. The bike was completely mangled.

Circle Inspector Madaiah and staff who visited the spot had a tough time in controlling the mob which had gathered by then and were furious at the way the bus was speeding.

The traffic was disrupted for nearly an hour. However, the bus driver escaped from the scene.

Deputy Commissioner G. Ku-mar Naik and Hunsur KSRTC Depot in-charge Manager Veerabhadra visited the spot.
