Dharamshala, February 25 – The Kashag of Central Tibetan Administration has decided to close down its office in the Hungarian capital of Budapest with effect from 31 March 2005. With approval of His Holiness the Dalai Lama as per the clause “4” of Section “B” of article 5 of the Tibetan administrative rules and regulations, the Kashag has reached the decision.
The Department of Information and International Relations, after consultation and discussion with the offices of Tibet in Geneva, Paris and London, will decide on the incorporation of the countries under the jurisdiction of the Budapest office into the three European missions.
Mr. Sonam Tenzing, the representative of His Holiness the Dalai Lama in Hungary, will join the Kashag Secretariat from 16 April 2005.
