“Himalayan Institute of Tibetan Art” is a centre which came out from the sincere initiative of some Himalayan people and couple of people from the west who share the same deep tenacity to the Himalayan Tibetan Art. The establishment of this institute is a pretty recent development and got finally inaugurated on the fourth day of the Tibetan “Wood-Bird New Year” with a fund raising Tibetan music live concert by Potala Rolyang at Shechen Monastery near the great Buddhist Stupa, Boudhanath. Over a thousand Himalayan people came to watch the music show. Among the galaxy of guests the French ambassador to the kingdom of Nepal is the chief.
Himalayan Institute of Tibetan Art is a registered non profit organization which aims to help preserve and make the Himalayan Tibetan art available to all and everyone interested.
