The International Campaign for Tibet Germany (ICT) is currently touring Germany with a ‘Wall of Hope’ for Tenzin Delek Rinpoche. The tour started on 3rd November in Bremen and will last 3 weeks, ending in the capital city of Berlin.
The Wall of Hope is made up of thousands of cards declaring support for Tenzin Delek Rinpoche, all signed by individuals who visit the Wall and ICT Germany’s information stand in Bremen, Muenster, Bonn, Heidelberg, Nuernberg, Freiburg, Jena and Berlin. The Wall of Hope tour aims to raise awareness about the plight of Tenzin Delek Rinpoche amongst the German public and mobilise them to take action to reverse Tenzin Delek Rinpoche’s death sentence.
Accompanying the Wall of Hope are Dechen Pemba, ICT Germany’s Campaigns Coordinator, and Geshe Lobsang Tenpa, a student of Tenzin Delek Rinpoche’s. Special evening events with Geshe Lobsang Tenpa inform the public about Tenzin Delek Rinpoche’s life, work and current situation. Signatures for postcards addressed to the German Foreign Minister Joschka Fischer are being collected on the tour which Geshe Lobsang Tenpa will personally deliver to the German Foreign Ministry in Berlin on 23rd November.
