The Russian Foreign Ministry has authorized the issuing of a Russian visa to the Dalai Lama to let him visit the Kalmyk Republic, the press service of Kalmyk President Kirsan Ilyumzhinov reported. According to the press service, the Dalai Lama will visit Kalmykia in November 2004. The spiritual leader of Tibetan Buddhists will meet with Buddhists in the republic and consecrate Buddhist temples. The period of the visit is being defined currently.
